About

I am the father of two girls. Four and five (almost six) years old. Being a dad has been pretty cool. But like most of the dads that I know, I’m mostly just trying not to screw up.

I am also one of those guys that believes creativity and curiosity are central to being happy and successful. I think that will be even more true for my kids, as they grow up in an increasingly globalized economy and networked world.

As such, I think the ideas my kids dream up, the objects they create, and the questions they ask, are awe-inspiring. And, just in terms of basic parenting survival, I have also found that putting a crayon and blank piece of paper in front of them is the easiest and fastest way to diffuse a tantrum.

So, this blog is intended to foster discussion about how we, as parents, can create an environment for our kids where creativity and curiosity can flourish. Hope you participate and find it useful.
